As one of the city’s trusted leaders in animal health, part of our mission at Blum Animal Hospital is to support Chicago’s pet community. We’re proud to be a sponsor for two of this summer’s largest pet fund-raising events, Bark in the Park and PAWS Chicago’s 5K, two pet-friendly charity walk/runs that take advantage of Chicago’s marvelous parks and skyline.
Life of the party
This past Sunday (5/21/2017), Anti-Cruelty Society held its annual Bark in the Park fundraiser — an event for which Blum Animal Hospital has been a sponsor for over 20 years! Over a dozen Blum associates volunteered, handing out snacks and water, and spreading the word about Fear Free, a nation-wide initiative to provide low-stress care to animal patients. Our team members handed out blue Blum bandanas to event participants and explained that, just as in our hospital, our blue bandanas are lightly treated with Adaptil, a naturally-inspired calming pheromone — a perfect fit for staying cool at Chicago’s Largest Dog Party. Stop in at our clinic location and take a bandana home for free!
Blum Animal Hospital is also proud to support PAWS Chicago, an organization that is “dedicated to building a community in which all healthy and treatable animals are saved and rescued, never euthanized.” Since its inception in 1997, the number of homeless dogs and cats euthanized annually in Chicago has dropped by 77 percent!
Please join us as Blum Animal Hospital sponsors PAWS Chicago’s 5K Walk/Run charity event — one of Chicago’s top events — which will be held on Sunday, June 4th, at Montrose Harbor from 7:00am to 12:00 noon. Make sure to stop by our tent to say hi and pick up some Fear Free goodies for you and your pet.
We hope to see you there!
