When it comes to our furry family members, we know how much love and joy they bring to our lives. Last week was Pet Appreciation Week, so if you did not get a chance to pamper your pet, here are some ideas on how to do it!
Not just a boarding facility, Paradise 4 Paws offers spa and grooming services for your pet! They offer a full range of services including massage therapy, hot oil treatments, mud baths and even pet tattoos! They have two Chicagoland locations – one by Midway Airport and the other by O’Hare Airport.
This boarding/grooming facility caters exclusively to cats! They offer full grooming for short and long hair cats, as well as lion cuts. They also offer services such as comb cuts for cats who do not need a full coat removal or de-shedding/deep conditioning to help loosen the undercoat hairs. For cats who prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home, they have a mobile spa that comes to you!
Created by Olga Yuditsky, Orostani Couture debuted at the New York Pet Fashion Show in 2013 and is designed to be high-fashion designer clothing for your pup! Orostani Couture has garnered the attention of the New Yorker magazine, the New York Post and even ABC News. These exquisite creations are definitely a one-of-a-kind creation for your dog! Your pup could be the most stylish pet at the 16th Annual PAWS Fur Ball!
This pet bakery makes all their treats on location at their store in Evanston. Happy Husky Bakery is a licensed facility with the Illinois Department of Agriculture and provides ingredient labels on their products with guaranteed analysis for fiber, fat, protein and moisture. They use ingredients such as chicken, turkey, bacon, sweet potatoes, cranberries, low fat cheese, salmon and yogurt. For pets with grain allergies, they have treats available with garbanzo bean flour. Also, they just designed a baked treat for cats!
Located right in the heart of downtown Chicago, the Kinzie Hotel offers an incredible package called Pamper Your Pooch. This package includes complimentary daily gourmet breakfast from a dog-only menu, photo of your pup at a Chicago-Themed location, a Kinzie-branded bandana, a Pillow Top Doggie Bed, Doggie Bowl and Doggie Spa Amenities from Bobbi Panter and even your pup’s own concierge service! For every pet that stays at the Kinzie Hotel, there is a $50 non-refundable pet fee, which is included in the price of the package. This sounds like a 4-paw service to us!
Please let us know if you have any other pampering suggestions. We would love to share these or hear about your experiences with any of the places listed above! Please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org to share!
