Organized and was president of Chicago's first emergency clinic offering emergency care for
Chicago's pets after hours.

Active Member of the Board of Directors - Anti-Cruelty Society - 26 years.
Activities involved with this humane association included designing Chicago's
only indigent clinic; developed veterinarian assisted spay-neuter network;
involved in development of new low-cost spay-neuter clinic; and originated
U of I Vet Med extern program at Anti Cruelty Clinic to enable senior students
opportunity to participate in urban medicine program.
