Our Fundraiser: Blum Fund
All of us here at Blum Animal Hospital know the difference a pet can make in a person’s life and we’ve had the distinct privilege of caring for Chicago’s dogs and cats since 1952! In appreciation for this honor, we enjoy giving back to the community that has supported us over the years.
This year, we are teaming up with an amazing organization, Paws With A Cause, to sponsor a service dog for a child with autism in the Chicago area. We couldn’t be more proud to support Paws with a Cause and the money we raise will fund the care, training and continued support of a service dog placed with a family here in Chicago. This wonderful video details the journey of a Paws with a Cause service dog from a puppy all the way to a working service dog!
As described on the Paws with a Cause website, service dogs for children with Autism act as constant companions to help them improve social interactions and relationships, expand verbal and nonverbal communication, teach life skills, increase interest in activities and decrease stress within the family. Our goal is to make this possible for a deserving family here in the Chicago area! By reaching our fundraising goal of $30,000, a puppy can be cared for, trained and placed with a family who will also receive continued support from a field representative for the life of the pet!

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!
