Blum Animal Hospital: Connecting with the Chicago Community
The team at Blum Animal Hospital is not only passionate about Chicago’s pets, we’re also passionate about giving back to our community. Here are a few examples of ways we get out and about with our fellow Chicagoans to support worthy causes.
Bark in the Park
Blum Animal Hospital has been participating as a sponsor of Bark in the Park, the Anti-Cruelty Society’s largest fundraising event, for more than 20 years. This annual 5K walk has been called Chicago’s biggest dog party. After the walk, participants got to experience the real party, complete with canine agility courses, dog massages, a “pawdicure” spa, relay races, snacks, and so much more. We loved supporting this wonderful cause!
PAWS Chicago 5K
PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building a community in which all healthy and treatable animals are saved and rescued, never euthanized. Since its inception in 1997, the number of homeless dogs and cats killed annually in Chicago has dropped by 77 percent. Their annual 5K walk/run raises funds that go directly to saving the homeless, sick, and injured pets at PAWS Chicago.
