2017 Year-in-Review

This has been an amazing year for us at Blum Animal Hospital! First, we want to thank all our clients for choosing us to care for their amazing furry family members. We know there are a lot of choices for veterinarians not only in Chicago, but the Lakeview neighborhood, so we are grateful you made the important decision to trust us with your pet’s care.

In all aspects of the hospital, we strive to be the best and in June we were voted Best Veterinarian in the city by the Chicago Reader, our sixth time in the past seven years. As part of our commitment to the well-being of our clients’ pets, this year all our doctors became Fear Free Certified. This means the doctors use many different tools and techniques to help make the exam a positive experience for both you and your pet. We offer high reward treats for both dogs and cats – frozen peanut butter or cream cheese for dogs, and tuna or bonito flakes for cats.

Finally, this year we teamed up with an amazing organization called Paws With A Cause, and we are still raising money to sponsor a service dog for a child with autism in the Chicagoland area. We are about 60 percent of the way to our goal of $30,000. With this money a service dog can be cared for, trained, and placed with a family who will also receive continued support from a field representative for the lifetime of the pet. If you would like to donate and help us reach our goal, please click here.

Thank you to everyone who made 2017 an amazing year for Blum Animal Hospital. We look forward to 2018 being an even more incredible year!
