With summer peeking right around the corner, there are so many fun events around Chicago that you and your furry family member can enjoy!
The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Bark in the Park and PAWS Chicago 5K
On May 19, The Anti-Cruelty Society is hosting Bark in the Park at Soldier Field’s Stadium Green. This dog-friendly party features free food from local restaurants, pet merchandise, live music and a beer tent. There is also an optional 5K walk along the lakefront where you can take your pup along with you!
On June 3, PAWS Chicago is having their 18th annual 5K walk/run at Montrose Harbor. This event features live entertainment, food and drinks, and free giveaways. While humans may opt to run the 5K, dogs are only allowed to participate in the walk portion.
The proceeds for both events go towards helping the thousands of animals both The Anti-Cruelty Society and PAWS Chicago care for each year. Also, don’t forget to stop by the Blum booth to say hello!
Mother’s Day Brunch for Dog Moms
On May 20, the Real Dog Moms of Chicago are hosting a brunch celebrating dog moms with the proceeds helping to benefit the dogs of K94keeps. Purchasing a ticket for this event includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, and bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary’s. This event takes place from 10 am – 2 pm at O’Donovan’s.
Harmony House for Cats’ Kitty Summer Social
On June 9, Harmony House for Cats is hosting their Kitty Summer Social. This event features amazing homemade jewelry, arts, crafts and other items from local artists. You can take home items for your kitty…such as beds and toys. Plus, there is also art made by their “paw-painting” cats! While your cat is unable to attend, you have the chance to visit with a lot of cats who live at Harmony House!
