Spring Animal Antics

With spring finally arriving in Chicago, there starts to be so many different things you can do with your pet! Here are just a few events you and your furry family member may enjoy!

Part of Blum’s mission is to give back to the Chicagoland community, so we are excited to be taking part in the Anti-Cruelty Society’s Bark in the Park on May 18 at Soldier Field. The event takes place from 9 am to 1 pm and features a 2.5 mile walk along the lakefront. Blum will have a booth set up, and we will be handing out treats and applying temporary tattoos for your pet! There will also be an agility course, raffles and a beer tent, so there will be lots for you and your pup to explore!

For any yoga enthusiasts or for people wanting to try it, what better way to do it than with dogs! On May 18 at Wright-Way Rescue’s Morton Grove location, they are hosting Doga at 5 pm and 6 pm. This class is for people of all yoga levels and will feature pups who are available for adoption. For any attendee who wants to get their feline fix, they can visit with the adoptable cats between 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm.

If you can’t make it to Bark in the Park, Blum is also going to be taking part in the PAWS Chicago 5K Walk/Run on June 2 at Montrose Harbor. The event takes place from 7:30 am – noon, and all are dogs are welcome for it! Runners will take to the course first, and then walkers with their dogs are allowed to participate. There will also be an event stage, food and beverage tent and 50/50 raffle.

Meow Meet up Chicago is the largest cat convention in the Midwest that features a Cat Café and Kitty Yoga with adoptable felines! Meow Meet Up takes place at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont on July 20-21. There will be numerous vendors there who will have amazing one-of-a-kind cat items. This is definitely an event that cat lovers will not want to miss!
