Blum Food Spotlight: Royal Canin Feline Urinary SO Moderate Calorie

About Royal Canin

When founding Royal Canin back in 1968, Dr. Cathary envisioned a pet food company that was grounded in science but also satisfied our pet’s wants and needs. After 40 years of working with pet nutritionists, breeders, and veterinarians, Royal Canin has done just that!

Why Feline Urinary SO MODERATE CALORIE?

Urinary SO Moderate Calorie

Royal Canin Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Diet

Royal Canin’s Urinary SO was developed to manage feline’s lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) – a term used to refer to a variety of urinary conditions. One of the most common conditions for felines with urinary issues is the formation of bladder crystals or stones.  Royal  Canin’s Urinary SO diet was developed to prevent the formation of these crystals and stones by managing pH, urine volume, and concentration. The moderate calorie version of this diet does all of this while helping your furry family member maintain an ideal weight.   In addition, it contains essential fatty acids that also promote a healthy skin and coat!

Feline Urinary SO versus Feline Urinary SO Moderate Calorie

Most cats in Chicago are indoor cats and they are especially prone to obesity due to their sedentary lifestyles.  To keep them healthy and fit, our veterinarians here at Blum Animal Hospital decided to make the switch from carrying both varieties of Urinary SO to only carrying the Moderate Calorie variety.   This diet is available in a 3.3lb, 6.6lb, 17.6 pound bags and 3 oz cans.

If your pet is currently on Urinary SO: Talk to your veterinarian about making the switch to Urinary SO Moderate Calorie!

If your pet has urinary issues and is below ideal weight: You have the option of special ordering regular Urinary SO with just a few days notice.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our switch, please give us a call at 773-327-4446. Until then, tell your lil’ ball of joy we said “Meow!”
